Fabrizio Bigioni

He was born in Rome and he  teaches drums and ethnic percussions in the School of Music of Anguillara. He collaborates and plays with several artists and bands ranging from rock to jazz to funk music finding his own personal  way  towards to ethnic style and world music. In 2009 he produced his first cd ETNO and he’s got a live band playing his music.

He started to study drums in 1981 in the School of Music Donna Olimpia and improved whit Armando Bertozzi. He studied african percussion with Kassy de Guessabo from Ivory Coast, arabic percussion with Abdullah from Egypt, afrocuban ones with Humberto La Pellicula from Cuba. He attended several stages of drums and percussions in Rome, London, Perugia (Umbria Jazz), L’Habana. In August 2009 he followed a Master Class of Drums held in Cleveland (Ohio) getting education and inspiration  from the world’s greatest drummers  like Peter Erskine, Dave Weckl, Steve Smith, Tommy Igoe and Dafnis Prieto.
